Use of an LCB (Linear Current Booster) is required for optimum performance.

SunRise Solar Submersible Pump

The SunRise uses a patented, positive displacement mechanism optimized for lower flow rates. For very deep wells, it uses less power than any other solar pump system, at less than half the cost. The SunRise costs less than a windmill and, over time, far less than operating an engine driven pump.

SunRise Features

  • Simple and reliable, with no batteries required

  • Pumps effectively at lower power, unlike centrifugal pumps

  • Triple the capacity of other solar diaphragm pumps

  • Tolerates sand and running dry

  • Simple to install

  • Fits in a 4 inch well casing

  • All metal construction

Performance measured at 60VDC which is the typical working voltage from a 48V nominal PV array. Performance may vary plus or minus 10%. For battery system, subtract 15% from the flow and from the wattage, due to lower working voltage.

Dankoff Solar Slowpumps

The Slowpump is not submersible, but can draw water from shallow wells, springs, tanks, ponds, rivers and streams, and push it as high as 450 vertical feet and through miles of pipeline. Slowpumping minimizes the size and cost of the solar array, wire and piping. The Slowpump is less expensive than submersible diaphragm pumps, easier to repair and made in a much wider range of sizes. Wearing parts typically last 5 to 10 years. Overall life expectancy is 15 to 20 years.

LPM = GPM X 3.8. The suction capacity is 20 vertical feet (6m) at sea level; subtract 1 foot for every 1000 feet(1m for every 1000m). This pump CANNOT tolerate dirt. Water MUST be filtered clear. The solar array in PV direct systems must exceed the pump watts by 20% or more. A linear current booster is required to start and run in low light. Accessories include the following: intake strainer/foot valve, inline filter, intake filter/foot valve, spare filter cartridges and dry run switch.
